Fundraise for Change

Together, We Can Empower Women, Youth, and Children

At Agaliawamu Munomukabi Women’s Group (AMWG), we believe in the power of collective action. You don’t need to be a millionaire to make a difference — you just need a generous heart, a good idea, and the will to act.

By starting a fundraiser or contributing to one of our ongoing campaigns, you help break cycles of poverty, empower girls to stay in school, support women to start small businesses, and provide safe spaces for mental health healing.

🌱 What Your Fundraising Supports

Your efforts directly contribute to:

  • Girls’ Empowerment Projects (e.g. Adolescent Girls Power Program – AGPP)

  • Education & Skills Training

  • Climate Resilience & Adoption Programs

  • SACCO & Financial Inclusion Support for Women

  • Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Activities

  • Digital Inclusion Initiatives for Rural Youth and Women

💡 Ways to Fundraise

1. Create Your Own Fundraiser

Start a campaign on behalf of AMWG and rally your network!
Whether it’s your birthday, a sports challenge, or a special event — use your moment to raise funds for a cause that matters.

Platforms you can use:

  • GoFundMe

  • Facebook/Instagram Fundraisers

  • M-Changa (for local drives)

  • WhatsApp campaigns with mobile money

We’ll support you with graphics, stories, and a fundraising toolkit to get you started.

2. Host a Community Event

Organize a community car wash, charity run, bake sale, art show, or benefit concert to raise awareness and funds for AMWG programs.

We can send you materials and even connect you to AMWG alumni or volunteers in your area.

3. Corporate Giving & Workplace Fundraisers

Partner with us through:

  • Matching gift programs

  • Staff fundraising drives

  • Social responsibility initiatives

  • Payroll donations

If your organization would like to support women’s empowerment and youth development, we’d love to hear from you.

4. School or Campus Campaigns

Are you a student or educator? You can initiate:

  • “Sponsor a Girl” fundraisers

  • Debate tournaments or quiz nights

  • Online donation drives through your school clubs

We welcome student-led partnerships and activism.

5. Fundraise as a Faith or Community Group

Mobilize your congregation, mosque, or community group to contribute during a special service or gathering in support of marginalized families in Uganda.

💛 Be the Spark of Hope

Every shilling, every share, every campaign counts. You may never meet the girl whose school fees you raised, or the woman who got a second chance at life because of your effort — but know this: you changed their story.
